I wouldn’t be a stressed Cinephile if not for the stress…
I don’t intend to share too many personal details of my life, but as a high school junior, I do feel an immense amount of pressure to succeed, to go off to a good college, and make a lot of money and love my life, and so on. But I wish, in our society, there were more of an emphasis on passion, less on money. If money is a measure of worth, of fulfillment, then let everyone who lives without passion be broke.
I am so grateful for the things I have-a roof over my head, a family that loves me, enough food and water to live-but there is something to be said for the quality of survival. Am I too stressed to stop and smell the roses? I think so. I’m hoping that by writing this blog, I can reach out to others who maybe feel the same way; who are trapped by what they feel they must do to achieve the ‘best’ life.
If you’re reading this-there is no ‘best’ life. There is a life to be lived. It’s only done to its maximum when it’s enjoyed to its maximum. No amount of money makes up for lost time. I’m still telling myself this-I want to get a degree in film!
Side note: This website is horribly made, sorry. If anyone even finds it, just know I’m currently behind the scenes trying to make it more appealing to the eye. Thank you for being here!
